Kazi Rafiqul Alam, Managing Director of Trust Group, is participating in the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5), held in Qatar. The conference gathers global leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and development advocates to discuss strategies for fostering sustainable growth and reducing poverty in the world’s least developed countries (LDCs).
Representing Bangladesh, Mr. Alam is actively engaged in key sessions and discussions focused on agriculture, rural development, climate resilience, and sustainable business practices. As a prominent business leader and advocate for youth and female entrepreneurship, Mr. Alam brings a private sector perspective to the dialogue, emphasizing the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in driving socio-economic transformation.
“Bangladesh’s progress shows that even the most vulnerable economies can thrive through collaboration, entrepreneurship, and technology,” Mr. Alam remarked during the conference. “LDC5 is a crucial platform for sharing our experiences and building partnerships that enable inclusive, long-term development.”
The conference aims to provide solutions to challenges such as poverty, food security, and climate change that disproportionately affect LDCs. Mr. Alam, through his leadership of Trust Group, has been at the forefront of agriculture, retail, and technology-driven projects that empower local communities and promote sustainable growth in Bangladesh.
As part of LDC5, Mr. Alam is meeting with other global leaders to explore opportunities for collaboration and investment in agriculture and rural development—a sector where Bangladesh has demonstrated significant progress in recent years.
